Model F10 – Flow Switches

Magnetrol flow switches are highly reliable devices utilized to sense the presence or absence of flow in horizontal pipelines. Model F10 switches are vane actuated for use on gas or liquid flow applications in 2 inch or larger line sizes.

Measurement Principle :

Force of liquid or air flow against a vertical flow vane mounted in a line causes a vane to pivot to a horizontal position, moving an attraction sleeve into the field of a switch magnet. This pulls the magnet toward the sleeve and actuates the switch.

Features :

  • Field adjustable
  • Low pressure drop
  • Process pressures to 1000 psig (69 bar)
  • Process temps. to +450° F (+232° C)
  • Actuation on increasing or decreasing flow
  • Special sensing elements for non-standard or high flow applications

Applications :

  • Pump staging or failure
  • Pipeline flow detection
  • Valve failure
  • Loss of pipeline flow
  • Pipe blockage/rupture
  • Pump inlet flow protection

Options :

  • Carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and 316 stainless steel mounting connections
  • Threaded or flanged connection types available
  • Choice of dry contact, mercury or hermetically sealed switches
